Custom iPSC reprogramming from urine-derived cells, fibroblasts, or PBMCs. From source-material and feasibility review through reprogramming, clone selection and expansion, and quality control, abm delivers research-ready iPSC lines with cryobanking and worldwide delivery.
Each project moves through feasibility, sample preparation, reprogramming, clone selection, and quality control with project-specific milestones and documentation.

abm supports urine-derived cells, fibroblasts, and PBMCs, subject to feasibility and sample-acceptance review.

Cells should meet the agreed cell-count and passage requirements.
Provide sample metadata, passage and culture history, donor authorization, and research-use documentation.
Provide mycoplasma-negative evidence or accept incoming testing as part of the project scope.
Specify requested clone count, QC options, delivery format, and shipping information.
Sample quality matters: Reprogramming success depends strongly on starting-cell health, donor biology, sample quality, passage, culture history, and cell identity. Final scope and timeline are confirmed only after feasibility and intake review.
The starter pack includes the core materials needed to begin culturing your cells on delivery. View the iPSC Culture Starter Pack Flyer.

Custom QC options and flexible clone numbers can be tailored to your research goals. Your cells. Your data. Our expertise.
abm integrates cell culture, media development, reprogramming, cell line engineering, characterization, and organoid expertise within a single project framework. This enables projects to progress beyond iPSC generation into gene editing, directed differentiation, 2D cell models, or custom organoid development.
Direct communication with our scientific team from feasibility review through final delivery.
Urine-derived cells, fibroblasts, and PBMCs can be evaluated according to project requirements.
Non-integrating mRNA-based reprogramming supports iPSC generation without the use of viral vectors.
Select the level of quality control and characterization required for routine research, disease modeling, or downstream development.
Selected iPSC clones can be expanded, cryopreserved, and prepared for worldwide delivery.
Extend established iPSC lines into gene-edited models, differentiated cell types, 2D assays, or custom organoid programs.
iPSC reprogramming is the process of converting an adult (somatic) cell — such as a urine-derived cell, fibroblast, or PBMC — into an induced pluripotent stem cell capable of self-renewal and differentiation into most cell types. abm's service uses mRNA-based reprogramming to generate research-ready, patient-specific iPSC lines from donor-derived cells.
abm supports urine-derived cells, fibroblasts, and PBMCs, subject to feasibility and sample-acceptance review. Other somatic cell types may be considered for custom projects.
Our standard reprogramming service is designed for human-derived cells. If your project involves cells from another species, contact our team to discuss whether a custom approach may be suitable.
Urine collection is non-invasive and repeatable and does not require a skin biopsy or blood draw. Established, healthy urine-derived cultures are also compatible with integration-free iPSC reprogramming.
Reprogramming performance can vary by starting cell type, donor biology, cell quality, passage number, culture history, and experimental conditions. Urine-derived epithelial cells may offer workflow advantages because they already have an epithelial phenotype, while fibroblasts undergo a mesenchymal-to-epithelial transition during reprogramming. Our team reviews your starting material before confirming project scope and feasibility.
The standard scope includes one independent validated clone with three cryovials. Additional clones and vials are available as add-ons.
The standard service includes morphology, mycoplasma testing, a core pluripotency panel by qPCR, and EB formation. Karyotyping, Human Cell Line Authentication, pluripotency markers by IF, trilineage differentiation by IF, and additional qPCR markers are available as add-ons.
Yes. Optional downstream services may include gene editing, isogenic control generation, directed differentiation, organoid development, and application-specific characterization.
No. Unless separately stated in an executed agreement, service outputs are for research use only and are not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
