Cryo Tubes
Cryo Tubes, also known as cryogenic vials, are small cylindrical containers mainly used for sample storage in scientific and medical fields.
They are typically made of plastic like polypropylene to endure extremely low temperatures. The tubes come with a tight - fitting cap, often with a silicone or rubber O - ring for an air - tight seal.
These tubes are available in different sizes, commonly from 1.5 ml to 5 ml. They are used to store a variety of biological samples such as cell suspensions, DNA, and RNA. In addition, they also play a role in pharmaceutical and chemical storage.
The flat surfaces of Cryo Tubes allow for easy labeling. When handling them, especially those stored with liquid nitrogen, safety precautions like wearing cryogenic gloves and goggles are necessary to avoid frostbite.
