Name BlasTaq™ 2X qPCR MasterMix
Unit 500 rxn (4 x 1.25 ml)
Category qPCR Mastermixes
Description

BlasTaq™ 2X qPCR MasterMix provides a convenient, reliable, and robust solution for performing quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) analysis of DNA samples. This ready-to-use MasterMix contains BlasTaq™ DNA Polymerase, a next-generation Taq polymerase strategically engineered by abm to deliver faster extension rates and stronger overall performance.

With optimized reaction conditions, BlasTaq™ DNA Polymerase offers significantly improved processivity, higher yields, and enhanced sensitivity. These improvements allow for faster reaction times, shortening qPCR runs by up to 70% compared to reactions using wild-type Taq polymerase. BlasTaq™ possesses 5’-3’ polymerase activity and 5’-3’ exonuclease activity, but lacks 3’-5’ exonuclease activity. It also produces 3’-dA-tailed amplicons, making qPCR products generated with BlasTaq™ compatible with TA cloning systems.

The MasterMix contains a fluorescent dye compatible with commonly used detection systems, such as SYBR Green™ and EvaGreen™. Additionally, ROX Reference Dye is supplied separately, ensuring compatibility with most qPCR instruments. For specific instrument requirements, please refer to the ROX Machine Compatibility Chart.

Product Features:

  • Enable streamlined protocol in a simple reaction set-up
  • Allow accurate quantification of a variety of gene targets
  • Reduce pipetting steps to minimize the risk of contamination
  • Compatible with most real-time PCR instruments
  • Contains dye comparable to SYBR Green™ and EvaGreen™
(Probe-based qPCR Master Mix also available)
  • Included in abm's PCR Buffet Program
